Retrofitting East-West Segmentation into a Live Enterprise Network
An enterprise had edge firewalls and nothing else: any internal segment could reach any other without inspection. Designed and deployed an internal segmentation firewall between VRFs using Cisco Secure Firewall 4100 appliances and FMC, going from allow-all with logging to enforced least-privilege policy over a series of maintenance windows, with zero user-facing disruption.
